PhD Peer Reviewer for Medical Research Manuscripts

About the role

This long‑term, stable part‑time position supports remote work and is focused on reviewing medical research manuscripts. The role requires a strong academic background and the ability to provide constructive, timely feedback.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty of submitted manuscripts and determine their contribution to the field.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility of the research.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyse results and conclusions to ensure they are supported by the data.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback and highlight any ethical concerns.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least five peer‑review‑ready publications in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer and familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems is highly desirable.
