Physics & Science Teacher

About the role

Nord Anglia International School Al Khor is seeking an outstanding Physics & Science Teacher to join a supportive, expanding team. You will deliver a curriculum based on the UK National Curriculum and prepare students for IGCSE/AS‑A examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Physics and Science lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum and IGCSE/AS‑A standards.
• Develop and adapt schemes of work to meet the diverse linguistic and academic needs of an international student body.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and set individualized targets for improvement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental development.
• Engage with parents and the wider Nord Anglia community to promote student achievement.

Required profile

• University degree in Physics or a related Science discipline.
• Recognised teaching qualification obtained through a face‑to‑face programme.
• Considerable teaching experience, preferably with knowledge of the UK curriculum and IGCSE/AS‑A examinations.
• Ability to meet Qatar visa requirements, including possession of a bachelor’s degree.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to fostering an inclusive, energetic learning environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in delivering Physics and Science content to secondary‑level students.
• Experience designing curriculum and assessment tools aligned with international standards.
• Capability to support English language and numeracy development within the Science curriculum.
• Collaborative mindset for sharing best practices with peers.
