Planning Engineer / Planning Consultant – Major Hospitality Development

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer / Planning Consultant to join the main contractor’s team on a major mixed‑use hospitality development in Doha, Qatar. The role is site‑based and requires immediate availability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and periodically update the project programme (baseline, current, and look‑ahead schedules) using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Monitor and report progress, including preparation of progress reports, S‑curves, and productivity tracking.
• Conduct critical path and resource analysis, and identify programme risks and constraints.
• Prepare short‑term (2–4 week) look‑ahead programmes and coordinate with site execution teams.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and MIS reports (Excel‑based and Power BI/Primavera dashboards) for management‑level progress visibility.
• Prepare periodic planning and progress reports for submission to project management and relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate with other contractor teams such as Commercial, QA/QC, HSE, Billing and site teams to ensure programme alignment with execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8–10 years of experience in planning/scheduling roles on large‑scale construction projects, preferably in hospitality, high‑rise or infrastructure.
• Valid Qatar NOC or transferable residence visa.
• Immediate availability strongly preferred.

• PMP certification (preferred).
