Plant Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Plant Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of plant equipment and machinery. You will work closely with production teams, management, and suppliers to develop and execute maintenance strategies that minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities on all plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems, creating and implementing maintenance plans.
• Analyse operational data to identify trends, root‑causes and opportunities for reliability improvement.
• Collaborate with production, management and external suppliers to align maintenance activities with organisational goals.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards and regulations, identifying and mitigating hazards.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, schematics and procedures supporting maintenance tasks.
• Participate in ongoing training programmes to enhance technical knowledge and skills.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and equipment operation.
• Ability to analyse information, diagnose problems and develop effective solutions.
