Plumber - Engineering

About the role

Chedi Hospitality is seeking a skilled Plumber to join its Engineering team in Doha. The role involves maintaining and repairing all plumbing systems across the hotel, ensuring guest comfort and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of all plumbing systems throughout the hotel.
• Maintain domestic water supply, hot and cold water systems, drainage, sewage, stormwater, irrigation, and water distribution networks.
• Inspect, repair, and replace water supply lines, valves, fittings, pipes, sanitary fixtures, and associated equipment.
• Install, repair, and maintain wash basins, toilets, urinals, showers, mixers, faucets, flush valves, and plumbing accessories.
• Service water heaters, calorifiers, circulation pumps, pressure vessels, expansion tanks, booster pump systems, and water‑treatment equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues such as leaks, low pressure, blockages, pipe failures, and equipment malfunctions.
• Ensure proper operation of plumbing in guest rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house, kitchens, laundry, spa, swimming pool, and other facilities.
• Maintain grease traps, floor drains, sewage pumps, sump pumps, and related drainage systems.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints while upholding luxury hospitality standards.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office and other departments to restore rooms and facilities after maintenance.
• Conduct daily inspections, report abnormalities to the Chief Engineer and follow the hotel's Preventive Maintenance schedule.
• Liaise with external contractors for major repairs, renovations and specialized maintenance.
• Keep accurate maintenance records, work orders, job cards and plumbing logbooks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years (36 months) of experience in plumbing maintenance, preferably in a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
• Familiarity with Qatar safety regulations and Lockout‑Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret plumbing drawings, schematics and technical manuals.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Good communication and coordination with other hotel departments and external contractors.
