Porotta Maker (North Indian Cook)

About the role

A reputed food production and restaurant company in Qatar is hiring an experienced North Indian cook to make porotas/parathas. The person prepares high-quality porotas, keeps food hygiene standards and supports daily kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook different varieties of paratha according to company standards.
• Mix, knead and prepare dough with consistent quality and texture.
• Roll, layer and cook paratha while keeping taste and presentation standards.
• Ensure proper food handling, hygiene and sanitation, and follow health, safety and food hygiene regulations.
• Monitor ingredient quality and report shortages when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations and storage areas.
• Support kitchen operations during busy hours and minimize food wastage.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a North Indian cook or similar role.
• Experience in restaurants, cafeterias, catering companies or food production units.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure, physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
• Basic English; Arabic is an added advantage.
• Candidates currently in Qatar with a transferable visa/NOC are preferred.
