Presales Architect

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Presales Architect in Doha, an onsite role expected to be worked from an HPE office. The position focuses on technical selling to customers and partners, architecting solutions that meet customer business and technical needs across hardware, software, services and as-a-service offerings, often in combination with third-party components.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and present proposals and solution designs, and give technical advice to sales teams and customers through presentations and demonstrations.
• Translate functional designs into scalable technical architectures and show customers how to migrate and integrate technologies.
• Track industry trends, emerging technologies and competitor activity, and contribute to conferences, events and social media.
• Work with account leadership and partners to define value propositions, negotiate and map the right partner to each opportunity.
• Nurture the pipeline, identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and take part in sales forecast meetings.
• Build relationships with customer technical teams and executives, and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• First-level university technical degree or equivalent; advanced degree in technology preferred.
• 4-8 years of technical experience in IT, focused on technical consulting and solution selling.
• Relevant industry certifications are strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Experience designing demos and proofs of concept, and strong knowledge of the company's portfolio and as-a-service model.
• Written and verbal communication in English and the applicable local languages, with persuasive and consultative selling skills.
• Knowledge of TCO/ROI, financial models and CRM tools.
• Hands-on experience with one or more products, solutions or services in the role.
