Presales Architect (Onsite)

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Presales Architect, an onsite role expected to be worked primarily from an HPE office. The role architects solutions that deliver customer business outcomes, combining hardware, software, services and as-a-service offerings with third-party components, and works closely with sales teams and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and present accurate proposals and solution designs, and give technical advice to sales teams and customers.
• Translate functional designs into scalable technical architectures and show customers how to migrate and integrate technologies.
• Track industry trends, emerging technologies and competitor activity, and contribute to conferences and events.
• Work with account leadership and partners to define value propositions, negotiate and map the right partner to each opportunity.
• Nurture the pipeline, attend sales forecast meetings and document work throughout the sales cycle.
• Build relationships with customer technical teams and executives, and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• First-level university technical degree or equivalent; advanced degree in technology preferred.
• 4-8 years of technical experience in IT, focused on technical consulting and solution selling.
• Relevant industry certifications are strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Experience designing demos, proofs of concept and solution configurations.
• Strong knowledge of the company portfolio, as-a-service models and CRM tools.
• Consultative and value selling skills, including whiteboarding, objection handling and closing.
• Business acumen: TCO/ROI, financial models and pipeline management.
• Written and verbal communication in English and the applicable local languages.
