Pressman – Laundry & Pressing Specialist

About the role

The Pressman is responsible for operating laundry and pressing equipment to ensure linens, uniforms and garments are clean, well‑finished and presented to the highest standards. This position works closely with the laundry and housekeeping teams to support guest needs in a hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate ironers, steamers, presses and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect items for cleanliness, quality and fabric defects before and after pressing.
• Press, steam and finish linens, uniforms and garments to meet established appearance standards.
• Address wrinkles, creases and fabric imperfections using appropriate techniques.
• Handle and store pressed items correctly to preserve quality.
• Maintain accurate records of processed items and manage inventory of pressing supplies.
• Collaborate with laundry and housekeeping departments to fulfill guest requests.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve concerns related to pressing services.
• Keep the pressing area clean, organized and ensure routine equipment maintenance.
• Follow environmental, health and safety regulations and company policies.
