Project Engineering Lead

About the role

Airswift, a global manpower provider for the Energy sector, is partnering with a major oil & gas operator to recruit a Project Engineering Lead for a long‑term contract in Doha, Qatar. The role starts as soon as possible and involves a 6‑day work week with 8‑10 hour days, adapting to project needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multi‑discipline activities within the Project Management Team, directing contractors to meet milestones and stay within budget.
• Develop execution plans for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning, ensuring alignment with project schedules.
• Support damage‑assessment processes and vendor/OEM engagements to verify equipment fitness for service.
• Assist senior managers in developing EPC scope, ITT documents and internal governance processes for the restoration/rebuild of on‑shore plant.
• Coordinate engineering activities for damage assessment, demolition and detailed design, linking them to procurement and construction phases.
• Conduct risk‑based evaluations of technical issues, manage change control, and prevent scope creep.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of engineering experience, including at least 4 years in the oil & gas industry and 1 year in a supervisory or contractor‑oversight role.
