Project Engineering Manager (Onshore)

About the role

The Project Engineering Manager will lead the engineering framework for onshore energy and hydrocarbon projects, ensuring multidisciplinary design activities are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and implement the project engineering execution framework, including procedures, deliverables, workflows, and interface management.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across Feasibility/Concept, FEED, and Detailed Design phases.
• Direct preparation and quality assurance of engineering deliverables, ensuring alignment with scope, standards, and schedule.
• Manage technical Value Improvement Practices such as technology selection, value engineering, energy optimisation, and reliability‑availability‑maintainability (RAM) studies.
• Provide integration across engineering disciplines and oversee interfaces with procurement, construction, and third‑party contractors.
• Ensure compliance with Worley standards, international codes, and customer specifications through rigorous technical governance and quality assurance processes.
• Support safe, on‑time, and within‑budget project delivery as the primary technical interface with customer management teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on large onshore energy or hydrocarbon projects.
• Strong knowledge of engineering execution frameworks, FEED processes, and detailed design practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage technical value‑improvement initiatives and interface coordination.
• Excellent understanding of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety, sustainability, and quality expectations.
