Project Manager (China Fabrication)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead all China fabrication activities for COMP2 and COMP5 projects, based in Doha, Qatar. The role oversees the complete lifecycle of fabrication in Chinese yards, ensuring safety, scope, schedule, and quality objectives are met up to sail‑away.

Key responsibilities

• Manage on‑site construction activities in Chinese yards, coordinating with contractors to meet contract requirements and company specifications.
• Lead the multidisciplinary China fabrication team (HSE, Quality, Mechanical Completion, Commissioning) and ensure alignment with project targets.
• Maintain and update the predictive fabrication schedule monthly, driving risk and opportunity initiatives.
• Oversee safety promotion, reporting, and monitoring on the construction site.
• Approve contractor monthly progress invoices and ensure accurate reporting.
• Organise training, inductions, mass briefings, and team‑building events for site personnel and third‑party inspectors.
• Provide regular progress updates to the Senior Project Manager and support senior leadership visits to the yards.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale fabrication or construction projects, preferably with offshore or oil & gas assets.
• Strong knowledge of HSE, quality, mechanical completion, and commissioning processes.
• Ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams across different time zones and cultures.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with senior management, contractors, and internal departments.
