Project Owner - Software Development Projects

About the role

The Group Securities, a brokerage firm and investment organization licensed by the Qatar Financial Markets Authority, is looking for a Project Owner to manage complex software development projects from initiation to closure. The role works closely with engineers, UX/UI designers, QA engineers and business stakeholders to deliver projects within budget, scope and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of complex software development projects, ensuring delivery within budget, scope and schedule
• Define project requirements, allocate resources, estimate timelines and set deliverables with cross-functional teams
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets and resource allocations
• Identify and manage project risks and issues, and mitigate potential roadblocks
• Monitor progress and provide regular status reports on project health, risks and issues
• Lead Agile/Scrum teams and ensure adherence to the methodology's practices and ceremonies
• Manage scope changes so they are documented, reviewed and approved by stakeholders

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a track record of delivering complex technical projects
• Strong technical background and understanding of software development processes and methodologies
• Proven leadership skills and strong written and verbal communication in Arabic and English
• Experience in the finance and brokerage domain is a significant advantage

Required skills

• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methods
• Project management tools such as JIRA, Asana and Microsoft Project, plus Excel and PowerPoint
• Collaboration tools and strong communication and teamwork skills
