Purchasing Manager – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha is seeking a dynamic Purchasing Manager to lead procurement for food and non‑food items across the property. You will ensure the highest quality goods are sourced at optimal prices while supporting the hotel’s luxury service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor market trends, price changes and product availability to inform purchasing decisions.
• Manage the full procurement cycle, from request approval to supplier negotiation and order placement.
• Obtain a minimum of three quotations for each purchase request and involve department heads or the GM when needed.
• Maintain accurate supplier, price and quantity records and ensure FIFO inventory management with the store keeper.
• Conduct regular market visits to assess shortages, seasonal price shifts and new product opportunities.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and compliance with anti‑gift and anti‑corruption policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related field.
• At least 5 years of purchasing experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a 5‑star hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of GCC procurement practices and supplier markets.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/procurement systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Understanding of inventory management, purchasing controls and cost optimisation.
