Recreation Supervisor

About the role

Sheraton in Doha is looking for a Recreation Supervisor. The role creates recreational activity agendas and advertisements, runs the guest programme, keeps the facility safe and helps guests enjoy a fun and relaxing stay.

Key responsibilities

• Create recreational activity agendas and advertisements using publishing software.
• Conduct inventory of supplies, materials and equipment and report low stock to the manager.
• Encourage, recruit, register and schedule guests for activities, promote the facilities and explain the rules and regulations.
• Monitor activities, respond to emergencies according to local procedures, flag guests who cannot safely take part and assist injured guests until emergency services arrive.
• Clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies.
• Assist management in training, motivating and coaching staff, act as a role model and report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions.
• Follow company policies, keep a clean professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and assist guests with disabilities.
• Process customer orders and payments, answer phones professionally and use computers and point-of-sale systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
• CPR certification and First Aid certification.
• Any certification or training required by local and state agencies.

Required skills

• Ability to read small print and visually inspect tools and equipment.
• Physical ability to stand, walk or lift objects up to 25 pounds unassisted and heavier ones with assistance.
• Use of publishing software for creating agendas and advertisements.
