Reservations Agent (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

The Luxury Collection hotels and resorts of Marriott International are hiring a full-time Arabic-speaking Reservations Agent in Doha, Qatar. The role handles reservation requests, changes and cancellations received by phone, fax or mail, and requires speaking with guests in Arabic.

Key responsibilities

• Process reservation requests, changes and cancellations received by phone, fax or mail.
• Identify guest needs and determine the appropriate room type, verify availability and rate, and explain guarantee, special rate and cancellation policies.
• Accommodate and document special requests and answer questions about facilities, services and room accommodations.
• Follow sales techniques to maximise revenue and follow proper escalation procedures for guest concerns.
• Input and access data in the reservation system, coding special room types such as complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agent inspection rates and wholesale reservations.
• Welcome guests according to company standards, assist individuals with disabilities and maintain confidentiality and professional appearance.
• Comply with quality assurance standards and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No related work experience or supervisory experience required.
• Ability to speak Arabic.
