Retail Sales Assistant – Market Hall

About the role

The Sales Assistant will work in the market hall area of IKEA Qatar, delivering a positive customer experience while supporting daily store operations. You will help keep the sales floor organized, meet sales targets, and ensure the store meets IKEA’s high standards of cleanliness and service.

Key responsibilities

• Create a sparkling clean and organized environment by maintaining store standards and cleanliness.
• Represent a positive attitude toward the merchandise, the brand and the company.
• Complete duties assigned by the shopkeeper, including arranging products and maintaining the sales floor.
• Meet or exceed weekly sales targets.
• Participate in market hall inventories and attend all store meetings.
• Greet customers promptly with a smile and provide current, relevant information.
• Follow IKEA policies and procedures 100%.

Required profile

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and adapt during high‑volume periods.
• Experience and solid knowledge of retail sales.
• Customer focus and alignment with Al‑Futtaim and IKEA values.
• Proficiency in Navision systems and basic Excel/reporting skills.

• Navision (ERP) system usage.
• Microsoft Excel (basic).
• Reporting and data entry.
