Room Care Technician – Maintenance & Guest Services

About the role

The Room Care Technician ensures that guest rooms and related facilities are maintained to the highest standards. You will respond to repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and support the overall guest experience through timely and professional service.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets.
• Inspect, clean, lubricate, and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic systems.
• Carry out minor carpentry, painting, drywall, and wood‑trim repairs.
• Replace light bulbs, air‑conditioner filters, electrical switches, outlets, and other guestroom items.
• Program televisions, manage housekeeping and engineering inventory, and use lockout/tagout procedures before work.
• Maintain landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Document daily activities and hand over information to subsequent shifts.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, and general building systems.
• Ability to acquire additional technical knowledge as needed.
• Physical capability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb and perform heavier tasks with assistance.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality, and adherence to safety policies.
