Rotating Baker – Shipboard Bakery

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Rotating Baker to join our shipboard bakery team. You will be responsible for producing high‑quality bread and bakery items for daily menus while ensuring compliance with food safety standards and shipboard procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and control the bakery shop and production daily in line with company policies.
• Produce, present and maintain the quality of the bread assortment for guest menus.
• Assist the Head Baker with production forecasts, leftover recording and waste minimisation.
• Set up bread displays across various buffets and transport required items from main stores.
• Ensure strict adherence to United States Public Health (USPH) rules and prepare for inspections.
• Maintain bakery cleanliness according to the Executive Chef’s schedule and minimise equipment damage.
• Monitor recipes, yields and consumption reports to meet company standards.
• Participate in meetings, training sessions and other work‑related activities as required.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of bakery experience in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship or convention banqueting service (shipboard experience preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and bakery equipment operation.
• Familiarity with USPH food safety regulations.
