SAP Basis Administrator

About the role

The SAP Basis Administrator will join Al Meera’s IT team in Doha, Qatar, working full‑time on‑site to ensure the stability and performance of the company’s SAP landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain SAP systems, including performance tuning and system monitoring.
• Manage system administration activities and coordinate database administration tasks.
• Apply patches, upgrades and transport management to keep the SAP environment up‑to‑date.
• Ensure system availability, reliability, backup and recovery procedures, and compliance with security standards.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, manage user access and roles, and collaborate with IT and business teams on projects and enhancements.

Required profile

• Strong SAP Basis and Basis Administration skills, including installation, configuration and performance tuning.
• Solid system administration experience for servers, operating systems and SAP landscapes.
• Database administration expertise for maintaining, optimizing and securing underlying databases.
• Advanced troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve system, performance and integration issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Experience with SAP system upgrades, support packages and transport management.
• Knowledge of security, backup, recovery and high‑availability concepts within SAP environments.
• Professional SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Basis or SAP Technology) are an advantage.
