Secondary Maths Teacher

About the role

A school in Doha is looking for a Secondary Maths Teacher to deliver engaging and challenging lessons that build students' problem-solving abilities and mathematical reasoning. The teacher covers a wide range of topics, from algebra to calculus, so that students gain a strong foundation in mathematics.

Key responsibilities

• Teach mathematics to secondary students using engaging and innovative methods
• Plan and deliver lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities
• Foster students' critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Assess student performance through assignments, quizzes and exams
• Give regular feedback to students and parents to track progress
• Incorporate real-world applications of mathematics into lessons
• Collaborate with fellow educators to develop and improve the curriculum

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education or a related field
• Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
• Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills
• Passion for helping students succeed in mathematics

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of algebra, geometry, calculus and statistics
