Senior AI Engineer - Agentic AI & Enterprise Platforms

About the role

The Senior AI Engineer leads the design, development and deployment of complex Agentic AI solutions and enterprise AI platforms within the Data & AI Lab. The role combines deep expertise in AI engineering, cloud architecture and integration patterns with financial services experience, acting as a technical leader who guides architecture decisions, best practices and technology selection. It balances hands-on delivery with technical leadership, ensuring production-grade, scalable solutions that meet banking regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Agentic AI architecture: autonomous workflows, multi-agent systems and enterprise AI orchestration, including MCP integrations
• Design AI platform components such as vector stores, embedding pipelines and retrieval systems, and document parsing and metadata extraction frameworks
• Define API standards and integration patterns for AI services across the bank
• Lead cloud architecture on Azure and GCP, event-driven architectures with Kafka, and model serving on OpenShift/Kubernetes with MLOps practices
• Mentor AI Engineers, lead design and code reviews, and enforce CI/CD, testing and documentation standards
• Work with product owners and stakeholders, communicate trade-offs to senior management, support AI governance and define SLAs with monitoring and alerting

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related field
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years focused on AI/ML applications
• Demonstrated experience delivering AI solutions in production and leading technical delivery
• Expert-level cloud (Azure or GCP), OpenShift/Kubernetes and enterprise integration experience
• Banking or financial services experience is mandatory; regulatory compliance, data governance and security experience preferred

• Python (advanced), SQL (stored procedures, window functions, recursive queries)
• Azure and/or GCP, S3/GCS, Kafka, Spark, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Git, CI/CD
• Leadership, stakeholder management and data visualization for executive reporting
