Senior Architectural & Fire Life Safety Engineer (Data Center)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Architectural & Fire Life Safety Engineer to lead architectural supervision and fire safety compliance on data‑center projects. The role ensures that all design, construction and regulatory requirements are met while coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural supervision for data‑center construction, ensuring adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor finishes, building envelope, façade systems and external works for quality and compliance.
• Inspect fire and life‑safety installations, verifying fire‑rated walls, compartmentation, fire‑stopping, penetration sealing and smoke containment.
• Review and oversee escape routes, emergency exits and egress provisions throughout construction.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, fire‑protection specialists, contractors and authorities to resolve design and site issues.
• Interface with Civil Defence for inspections, approvals, testing and certification.
• Conduct site inspections, quality audits and compliance reviews, issuing corrective actions as needed.
• Support testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing and readiness assessments for fire‑safety systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture Engineering, Fire Engineering or equivalent.
• UPDA/MMUP Grade A certification.
• 10+ years of experience in architectural supervision and fire/life‑safety coordination, preferably on data‑center projects.
• Proven experience interfacing with Civil Defence and handling façade/envelope compliance.
