Senior Associate, Domestic Compliance Strategy & Supervision (Qatarization)

About the role

QNB is hiring a Senior Associate for its Domestic Compliance Strategy & Supervision team in Doha, Qatar. The role helps manage the compliance function for the Group's domestic strategic and supervisory activities across all business divisions and subsidiaries operating in Qatar, assessing compliance risks against QCB, QFMA, QFCRA, QE and other regulations, Group policies and industry best practice.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess regulatory compliance risks in domestic business and operations activities and advise the domestic and operations regulatory compliance departments to reduce the risk of regulatory sanctions.
• Support the Senior Manager Strategy and Supervision in setting up the domestic compliance strategy and in reviewing the annual compliance plan so the Board receives assurance on policies, procedures, systems and controls.
• Manage, guide and instruct direct reports, monitor adherence to internal policies, rules and the code of ethics, and support the VP Domestic Compliance Strategy and Supervision and the EVP Domestic Compliance on ad hoc and project work.
• Collect quarterly data on domestic strategic activities to feed management reports to the Board Audit and Compliance Committee and Executive Management.
• Maintain SLAs with internal units, support external and internal auditors, and build strong working relationships across departments.
• Contribute to the Compliance Self-Assessment Framework, annual and strategic training and awareness plans, the Risk Mapping register, and the annual and mid-term compliance plans.
• Help build automated tools for compliance self-assessment questionnaires, the outsourcing framework and its control monitoring tools and checklists.
• Assist in regular compliance risk assessments, impact studies on new laws and reviews of the compliance-monitoring program.
• Deliver in-house compliance training with the Training Department and implement KPIs and best practices for the role.
