Senior Backend Engineer (Core Business)

About the role

Snoonu, Qatar’s homegrown Super App, is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain core business services. You will work with cutting‑edge .NET Core technologies and ensure seamless integration across the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services using .NET Core 8.
• Optimize database performance in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
• Participate in system design discussions to improve scalability and maintainability.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Refactor existing codebases for efficiency and readability.
• Write unit, integration, and performance tests to maintain high test coverage.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in production and development environments.
• Document technical decisions, system architecture, and processes.
• Support production deployments and verify system stability after releases.

Required profile

• 7+ years of backend development experience, with at least 5 years focused on .NET Core.
• Strong proficiency in designing RESTful services and gRPC APIs.
• Deep knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL) and non‑relational databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Familiarity with message brokers such as RabbitMQ and distributed system concepts.
• Solid understanding of software design patterns (Singleton, Factory, Strategy).
• Experience in code refactoring, unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing.
