Senior CloudOps Engineer

About the role

Join Snoonu, Qatar's homegrown Super App, as a Senior CloudOps Engineer. You will own and evolve the infrastructure that powers large‑scale, distributed production systems supporting fast delivery, shopping and more.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain AWS multi‑account environments (Organizations, IAM, VPC, ECS, RDS, Secrets Manager).
• Own container orchestration on ECS (EC2 capacity providers, task definition lifecycle, service autoscaling) and/or Kubernetes in production.
• Manage production‑grade databases, including schema migrations, performance tuning and failover for PostgreSQL and other engines.
• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions across multiple teams and environments.
• Implement observability stacks (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting) with tools such as Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana or OpenSearch.
• Develop infrastructure as code with Terraform or Pulumi, ensuring modular design, state management and drift detection.
• Create automation and internal platforms in Python and/or Go.
• Apply networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, security groups, VPN) to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues.
• Embed compliance controls for PCI‑DSS, SOC 2 and ISO 27001 into infrastructure.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, CloudOps or SRE roles.
• Deep hands‑on expertise with AWS services and container orchestration.
• Proven track record designing CI/CD pipelines and IaC solutions.
• Strong automation skills in Python (primary) and/or Go.
• Experience operating under strict compliance frameworks.
• Ability to translate infrastructure decisions into business outcomes.
