Senior Crisis Management Officer

About the role

Support the delivery of crisis management asset‑based programs and systems, providing advisory support to stakeholders to address threats, hazards, planned events and emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining crisis management readiness, response and recovery policies and procedures.
• Support asset and project Emergency Response Plans to ensure alignment with strategic guidance and currency.
• Plan and coordinate Tier‑1, Tier‑2 and Tier‑3 crisis management exercises and manage resources for successful delivery.
• Deliver performance assessments of crisis management exercises and produce detailed reports for compliance.
• Provide operational strategic support to Asset and Core Response teams during disruptive incidents.
• Prepare final reports on exercises, analyze recurring action items and contribute to risk reduction.
• Activate Incident Management Teams and Crisis Management Teams as Duty Response Manager.
• Ensure operational readiness of Incident Command Centers and report gaps from inspections.
• Support Emergency Notification System functionality and facilitate Incident Command System training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, disaster management, engineering, business administration or safety & risk management.
• Associate Emergency Managers (AEM) designation.
• Incident Command System Level 100‑200‑300 certifications and Train‑The‑Trainer instructional certification for ICS 100 & 200.
• OPITO Major Emergency Management Initial Response Training (MEMIR).
• Minimum 8 years of emergency/crisis management experience, preferably in large oil and gas organizations.
• Demonstrated tactical and strategic leadership in crisis incidents.
