Senior Frontend Engineer – Web Architecture & Performance

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join the PCORE team and lead the design, performance, and scalability of multiple web platforms. You will work across large‑scale systems, analyse existing codebases, and define unified frontend standards for the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and improve the architecture of existing frontend applications.
• Investigate large, complex codebases across several projects to identify technical debt and performance bottlenecks.
• Design and implement unified frontend standards, reusable components and shared UI systems.
• Lead frontend architecture decisions and mentor engineers across teams.
• Optimize rendering performance, bundle size, state management, API interaction patterns, caching, lazy loading and code‑splitting.
• Collaborate with backend, platform, DevOps, product and design teams on migration and modernization initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to define and drive engineering standards.
• Proven ability to quickly understand unfamiliar, large‑scale codebases.

Required skills

• React, Next.js, TypeScript, Redux (or modern state‑management libraries).
• Microfrontend architectures, modular frontend systems, shared component libraries, monorepo approaches.
• Deep knowledge of rendering lifecycle, browser performance, memory usage, network optimization, bundle optimization, SSR/CSR trade‑offs.
• Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets.
• CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, frontend observability and monitoring.
• Webpack, Vite, code‑splitting, caching strategies, CDN behavior.
