Senior General Ledger Analyst (Qatarization)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior General Ledger Analyst to join our finance team in Qatar. The role focuses on ensuring that all business transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and reported in line with IFRS standards and internal processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries, including cash, payroll, benefits, expense allocations, and revenue.
• Generate journal vouchers for accruals, provisions, and manual entries from non‑integrated systems.
• Review monthly balance sheets, financial statements, and trial balances, performing detailed account analysis.
• Assist with financial audits and, where applicable, tax return preparation.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS for land bank, government grants, revenue recognition, cost allocation, and valuation.
• Complete account balance reconciliations and support the month‑end closing process.
• Oversee general ledger activities and maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant – ACCA or CPA.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or preparation of IFRS‑based financial statements.
• Strong Excel proficiency.
• Hands‑on experience with an ERP system.
