Senior HSE / Safety Lead - Oil & Gas

About the Position

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated HSE / Safety Lead to join our operations in Doha, Qatar. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for driving safety excellence and ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across complex engineering and construction projects.

Main Missions

• Lead and manage HSE operations for large-scale engineering, construction, commissioning, and startup projects.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust HSE management systems in both greenfield and brownfield environments.
• Oversee safety documentation, including the drafting of comprehensive safety plans and reports.
• Conduct thorough incident investigations and lead corrective action processes.
• Facilitate safety meetings and promote a proactive safety culture through leadership and worker wellbeing programs.
• Manage HSE performance by monitoring and reporting on key safety KPIs.
• Supervise onsite safety during critical shutdown periods in brownfield sites.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in HSEQ / SHE&S, with at least 5 years specifically in the Oil & Gas sector.
• At least 3 years of proven experience in a Safety Lead role.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing safety during brownfield shutdowns.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or Sciences.
• Expertise in managing HSE for complex project lifecycles (Engineering to Commissioning).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Mandatory Certifications: NEBOSH IGC, NEBOSH Level-6, CSP, NVQ Level-6, or OTHM.
• Mandatory Training: 36-hour OSHA Construction Safety training.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication skills with full professional proficiency in English (written and oral).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
