Senior I&C Construction Manager

About the role

Avanceon Automation & Control, Qatar's leading automation and control solutions provider, is looking for an experienced I&C construction lead to oversee Instrumentation, Control, Automation, containment and cabling installation across multiple project sites. This is a field-focused role supervising site teams, managing subcontractors and keeping work on schedule, safe, within budget and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all I&C installation work on site across multiple projects
• Lead site supervisors, engineers and subcontractors so work follows schedules, plans and design specifications
• Prepare daily progress reports, monitor work and report constraints, risks and delays to Project Managers
• Monitor material usage, raise material demands and ensure timely availability of resources
• Carry out site surveys and give accurate field information to design and engineering teams
• Keep design documents aligned with on-site conditions to avoid rework and delays
• Develop work execution plans, manpower schedules and task allocations
• Monitor project budgets and help control costs while maintaining quality
• Enforce HSE compliance, run safety audits and toolbox talks
• Ensure quality of installation, testing and commissioning, and review site reports, as-built documentation and handover packages
• Evaluate subcontractor performance and approve inspection requests through RFIs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation or a related engineering discipline
• 12-14 years of field experience in I&C installation and supervision on industrial, infrastructure and construction projects
• Proven experience leading site teams and managing subcontractors
• Preferred: experience with local Qatari authorities such as Ashghal, Qatar Foundation, Kahramaa, MME, Qatar Rail or Lusail Development
• Preferred: Qatar resident visa and driving licence
