Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Specialist (Azure DevOps) – 2 Months

About the role

A 2-month fixed-term contract in Qatar for a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Specialist. The role covers establishing an Azure DevOps environment, migrating source code to Azure DevOps, building CI/CD pipelines and replacing manual FTP deployments with automated, secure ones, while reviewing and improving the existing Azure infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Establish the Azure DevOps environment: organization and project structure, access model, service connections and integration with the existing Azure environment.
• Migrate application source code and libraries to managed Azure DevOps and set up centralized repositories with access controls, ownership, version control, branching strategy and auditability.
• Design, configure and implement CI/CD pipelines for existing applications across Development, Staging, Pre-Production and Production.
• Replace manual FTP-based deployments with secure, automated, controlled processes.
• Implement DevOps security and governance controls with the InfoSec team: secrets and credentials management, deployment approvals, secure service connections.
• Create standardized, reusable CI/CD pipeline templates for future onboarding.
• Review existing Azure infrastructure and recommend improvements aligned with architecture, security and operations, and assist with networking, IAM, security, monitoring, governance, performance, cost efficiency and reliability.
• Coordinate with App Dev, Infrastructure and Information Security teams, and document the DevOps setup, deployment configurations, SOPs and provide training to the internal IT team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud technologies or DevOps engineering.
• At least 3 years of hands-on work with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
• Proven experience designing, configuring and implementing CI/CD pipelines and centralized source code repositories, including migrating code from existing repositories or local environments to Azure DevOps.
• Preferred certifications: Microsoft Azure AZ-104 / AZ-305 / AZ-400; additional DevOps, cloud infrastructure or automation certifications are an advantage.
