Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Specialist

About the role

BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services is looking for a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Specialist in Doha. The role covers setting up and securing an Azure DevOps environment, migrating source code to Azure DevOps, building CI/CD pipelines and replacing manual FTP deployments with automated ones, while reviewing and improving the existing Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and establish the Azure DevOps environment, including organization and project structure, access model, service connections and integration with the existing Azure environment.
• Migrate application source code and libraries to managed Azure DevOps and set up centralized repositories with access controls, version control, branching strategy and auditability.
• Design, configure and implement CI/CD pipelines for Development, Staging, Pre-Production and Production environments, and replace manual FTP deployments with secure, automated processes.
• Implement DevOps security and governance controls with Information Security, including secrets management, deployment approvals and secure service connections.
• Work with application developers and owners to configure pipelines, resolve issues and validate deployments, and build reusable pipeline configurations.
• Document the DevOps setup and deployment procedures and train the internal IT team.
• Review the existing Azure infrastructure, recommend improvements and coordinate with Infrastructure and Information Security teams on enhancements.
• Support Azure infrastructure automation, networking, identity and access management, monitoring, governance and cost optimization.

Required profile

• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud technologies or DevOps engineering.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Experience coordinating with application development, infrastructure and information security teams.

• Azure App Service, Azure networking, Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor and Azure identity and access management
• Microsoft Azure certification (AZ-104, AZ-305 or AZ-400) preferred; DevOps or cloud certifications an advantage
