Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Specialist

About the role

This role combines Azure DevOps and CI/CD engineering with Azure cloud infrastructure work. You will set up and secure the Azure DevOps environment, migrate source code to it, automate deployments and improve the underlying Azure infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and establish the Azure DevOps environment, including organization and project structure, access model, service connections and integration with the existing Azure environment.
• Migrate application source code and libraries to managed Azure DevOps and set up centralized repositories with access controls, version control, branching strategy and auditability.
• Configure and implement CI/CD pipelines for Development, Staging, Pre-Production and Production environments, replacing manual FTP-based deployments with secure, automated ones.
• Implement DevOps security and governance controls with Information Security, including secrets management, deployment approvals and secure service connections.
• Work with application developers and owners to assess deployment needs, configure pipelines, resolve issues and validate deployments.
• Create reusable pipeline configurations, document the setup and procedures, and train the internal IT team.
• Review the existing Azure infrastructure and recommend improvements, and assist with networking, identity and access management, security, monitoring and governance.
• Use infrastructure automation with Azure-native tools, IaC, and identify opportunities to improve performance, security, cost and reliability.

Required profile

• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud technologies or DevOps engineering.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Experience coordinating with application development, infrastructure and information security teams.

Required skills

• Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps (Azure Repos, Pipelines, Key Vault, App Service, networking, monitoring)
• CI/CD pipelines and Git, including source code migration and repository governance
• PowerShell, Azure CLI, and infrastructure automation with Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates
• Azure certification (AZ-104, AZ-305 or AZ-400) preferred; DevOps or cloud certifications an advantage
