Senior Internal Auditor - Hospitality & Facility Management

About the role

This is a senior, hands-on internal audit position based in Doha, Qatar, covering two operationally interconnected environments: hospitality and facility management. You will plan and lead risk-based audit engagements across a managed asset portfolio, with equal depth and credibility in both domains. The role suits someone with meaningful experience auditing or working within hospitality operations and FM service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and lead risk-based internal audit engagements in hospitality, covering F&B cost control, inventory management, procurement, revenue assurance, cash handling, outlet-level controls and brand/franchise compliance.
• Plan and lead audits in facility management, covering service delivery controls, maintenance contracts, SLA compliance, vendor and subcontractor management, asset lifecycle management and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) governance.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of controls where hospitality and FM functions intersect, including managed properties, mixed-use assets and outsourced FM arrangements.
• Identify operational risk, revenue leakage, contractual non-compliance and control weaknesses across both domains.
• Develop and execute Risk Control Matrices (RCMs), distinguishing design effectiveness from operating effectiveness.
• Perform fieldwork, gather evidence and document workpapers to support clear, defensible audit conclusions.
• Draft audit findings and lead audit reports end-to-end, with risk-rated, well-evidenced findings and actionable recommendations.
• Discuss observations with operations, FM service leads and asset management teams, track findings to closure, and guide and review junior auditors.
• Support the Internal Audit Manager in planning and scoping Assets Group engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, Facilities Management, Engineering or a related field; professional certification preferred or in progress (CIA, CPA, CFE or equivalent).
• Minimum 5-8 years of internal audit or assurance experience covering both hospitality/F&B operations and facility management.
• Strong understanding of hospitality risks (F&B cost control, revenue assurance, inventory shrinkage, cash management, franchise compliance) and FM risks (contractor management, SLA/KPI compliance, maintenance ratios, asset register integrity).
• Experience auditing integrated or mixed-use assets is a strong advantage.
• Confident engagement with operations, asset management and finance stakeholders.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Doha, Qatar.

Required skills

• Solid fieldwork, workpaper documentation and report writing skills.
• Risk-based audit methodology aligned to the IIA IPPF.
