Senior Manager Procurement

About the role

You will lead the Procurement function within the Technical Strategic Procurement Department, driving strategic initiatives, coordinating RFPs, managing contracts and overseeing supplier performance. The role focuses on operational excellence, cost efficiency, risk mitigation and value creation through strong leadership and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Procurement team and align practices with operational strategy and long‑term business goals.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that improve cost‑effectiveness, compliance and service delivery.
• Design and implement best‑in‑class procurement operating models and processes across functions.
• Provide data‑backed recommendations to optimise procurement and contracting operations.
• Manage full‑lifecycle procurement and contracting for major technical and capital projects, including contract negotiation and performance tracking.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and internal governance.
• Engage cross‑functionally with internal stakeholders, technical leads and finance to align procurement strategies with operational needs.
• Mentor the procurement team to achieve high standards in delivery, reporting and compliance.
• Identify and drive initiatives to streamline procurement processes and systems.
• Lead implementation of risk‑management and control frameworks to reduce procurement risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in an aviation environment.
• Proven experience of at least five years in aviation technical procurement.
• Experience managing procurement for complex technical projects and contract operations.
• Commercial and financial acumen, including whole‑life cost modelling.
• Strong background in project/change management and procurement process optimisation.
