About the role
The Senior Operator (OESS) is responsible for monitoring and controlling offshore field equipment to ensure safe, reliable plant operation. Working on a 28/28‑day rotation, the role involves continuous presence in a harsh offshore environment, supporting production and emergency response.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and supervise field equipment according to approved procedures and safety standards.
- Perform remote wellhead visits and support well maintenance, pigging, and intervention activities.
- Monitor, log and proactively report operating parameters and equipment irregularities.
- Prepare sites for maintenance, manage permit‑to‑work (PTW) processes, and recommission equipment after work completion.
- Provide first‑line emergency response as an active member of the Offshore Emergency Response Team.
- Brief incoming relievers on shift status and ensure seamless hand‑over.
- Conduct safety walks, PTW audits and complete Safety Observation Cards.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of operator experience in the oil and gas sector.
- Completion of secondary education (12 years) plus a relevant vocational training certificate.
- Ability to work in high‑elevation, outdoor offshore conditions and follow precise operational guidance.
