Senior Procurement & Logistics Associate

About the role

The Senior Procurement & Logistics Associate will support the IOM Qatar mission by managing procurement, asset control, warehousing, transport, and maintenance activities. Reporting to the Head of Resources Management Unit and the Supply Chain Officer, the role ensures compliance with IOM policies and efficient delivery of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement actions, solicit bids, evaluate vendors, prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Maintain asset and inventory records, supervise warehouse operations, and conduct year‑end stock checks.
• Monitor maintenance contracts, oversee facility repairs, and implement internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Prepare regular reports for HQ and Manila Administrative Centre, and provide market updates to project teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Logistics, Procurement or related field with at least four years of relevant experience, or high‑school diploma with six years of experience.
• Experience in international procurement and logistics, including high‑risk security settings.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines on complex projects and knowledge of asset management processes.
• Fluency in English and working knowledge of an additional UN language; Arabic knowledge is desirable.
