Senior Project Manager – Oil & Gas

About the role

The Senior Project Manager – Oil & Gas will lead end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale oil and gas infrastructure projects, from conceptual design through commissioning and handover. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures projects align with business objectives, cost targets and schedule milestones while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all project phases for crude oil processing facilities, pipeline infrastructure and related developments.
• Develop and control project schedules, budgets, resource plans and milestone tracking.
• Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimations, value engineering and technical/financial evaluations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across process, mechanical, electrical, civil and construction disciplines.
• Manage engineering, procurement and construction contractors, negotiate contracts and monitor performance.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, API, ASME and other regulatory requirements.
• Oversee FEED, detailed engineering, design reviews, QA/QC inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Provide regular status reports to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
• Drive project close‑out activities including final inspections, punch‑list resolution, as‑built documentation and lessons learned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of project management experience in the oil and gas sector, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
• Proven track record managing capital projects of USD 20 million or more, including crude oil processing facilities or pipeline infrastructure.
• Extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex contractor relationships.
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas operations, downstream processes and relevant standards (API, ASME).
