Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Administrator (Data Center Projects)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Administrator to support large‑scale construction projects, including mission‑critical data centre developments. The successful candidate will manage commercial risks, contract compliance and cost control from inception to final account settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and manage all commercial and contractual matters on behalf of the client and consultant.
• Review, verify and certify contractor interim payment applications in line with contract requirements.
• Monitor project costs, commitments and expenditures to ensure effective cost control.
• Evaluate, negotiate and recommend variations, change orders and compensation events.
• Assess contractor claims related to time, cost, disruption and extensions of time.
• Provide commercial advice on contractual entitlements and risk mitigation.
• Prepare commercial reports, cost forecasts, cash‑flow analyses and management summaries.
• Support procurement activities, tender evaluations and contractor appointments when required.
• Lead final account negotiations and facilitate timely project close‑out.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
• MRICS or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in cost management, contract administration and claims management.
• Recent data‑centre project experience (at least one project delivered in the last 5 years) is preferred.
