Senior Sales Engineer

About the role

The Senior Sales Engineer will lead Emerson's Measurement Solutions growth in Qatar, focusing on brownfield modernization, digitalization and sustainability projects. You will work from opportunity identification through to project award, engaging end users, consultants and EPC contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and develop brownfield, modernization and digitalization projects, driving them through Concept, Pre‑FEED, FEED and EPC phases.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with plant management, consultants and EPCs to influence specifications and secure Emerson’s preferred‑vendor status.
• Lead project pursuits, coordinate technical and commercial activities, and support commercial negotiations to achieve project awards.
• Collaborate with sales managers, proposal teams and product specialists to create winning strategies and align customer needs with Emerson’s solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Automation, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 7‑10+ years of experience in project sales, business development or project pursuit within measurement or automation industries.
• Proven track record of engaging end users during Pre‑FEED/FEED and driving opportunities through EPC execution.
• Experience working with major Qatar end users, consultants and EPC contractors in oil & gas, petrochemical or power sectors.
