Senior SHES Manager for Large‑Scale LNG Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior SHES Manager to lead safety, health, environment and security (SHES) initiatives across major construction packages in Qatar, focusing on large‑scale LNG, refinery and petrochemical projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve SHES Management Systems for large‑scale mechanical construction projects.
• Lead safety culture initiatives and drive continuous safety improvements during construction of LNG plants, refineries or petrochemical facilities.
• Manage and mentor large multidisciplinary teams within a Joint Venture framework.
• Oversee the full implementation of project SHES programs, ensuring alignment with corporate and contractual requirements.
• Allocate resources effectively across multiple packages and monitor SHES performance at project sites.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and provide guidance on SHES systems and performance.
• Prepare, review and update project‑specific SHES plans and supporting documents.
• Promote observation & intervention programs, safety leadership and cultural development initiatives.
• Liaise with project managers, client representatives, partner SHES managers and subcontractors.
• Support site SHES managers for SIMOPS, pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up phases.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of international EPC experience in mechanical construction for oil & gas.
• Degree in a relevant engineering or safety discipline.
• Internationally recognised SHES certifications (ISO 45001, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor).
• Proven track record in safety management on large‑scale projects.
• Strong ability to engage with Joint Venture partners and clients.
