Senior Specialist – Sales & Commercial (Media)

About the role

Al Jazeera Media Network is seeking a Senior Specialist to drive advertising and sponsorship revenue across its television, digital and social platforms. You will act as the primary commercial liaison for agencies and brands, shaping integrated partnership proposals and ensuring flawless campaign execution.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and grow advertising and sponsorship revenue to meet quarterly and annual targets.
• Build and maintain senior relationships with media agencies, trading desks and direct clients.
• Develop and present integrated sponsorship packages that span broadcast, digital, social and branded content.
• Respond to briefs with insight‑led proposals, pricing and rate‑card recommendations using audience data and CPM benchmarks.
• Manage end‑to‑end campaign delivery, including deal documentation, asset hand‑over, performance reporting and post‑campaign analysis.
• Collaborate with marketing, distribution, editorial and digital teams to align commercial deals with brand guidelines.
• Monitor competitor activity and regional advertising trends to inform packaging and pricing strategy.
• Maintain accurate pipeline records, forecast revenue and report on win rates.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of experience in media sales, sponsorship or commercial partnerships, preferably at a broadcaster, publisher or major digital platform.
• Proven track record of selling to and negotiating with media agencies at a senior level.
• Demonstrated success structuring and closing broadcast, digital or event‑based sponsorship deals.
• Strong understanding of agency planning, buying processes and media owner packaging.
