Senior / Staff Data Engineer (BI) – Customer Experience Group

About the role

As a Senior/Staff Data Engineer in the Customer Experience Group (CEG) you will design, build and maintain the data and software foundations that power CEG business users across all contact channels. You will work closely with product, operations, analytics, WFM, DevOps and engineering teams to deliver reliable pipelines, scalable models and internal tools that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting data from case management, telephony, chat, bots, QA tools, WFM, CRM and third‑party sources.
• Develop and optimise data models (warehouse tables, marts, views) for reporting, monitoring, forecasting and experimentation.
• Implement data quality, validation, anomaly detection and observability for critical CEG datasets.
• Build data tools and internal products (self‑service analytics, dashboards, alerting, investigator tools) using Python, Java, Golang or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Partner with product and business teams to translate operational pain points into data‑driven solutions and dashboards.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer or Data Analyst in a data‑driven environment.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions and query optimisation.
• Experience with major data‑warehouse or big‑data technologies such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Hive, Spark or similar.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language for data services (Python, Java, Golang, Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Hands‑on experience building production‑grade data pipelines with orchestration tools like Airflow or dbt.
