Senior Systems Engineer (Qatar)

About the role

Veeam is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join its Qatar team. You will work closely with sales, solution architects and partners to design, demonstrate and implement Veeam’s data resilience and security solutions for enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales to secure and expand business with new and existing customers, cloud and hosting providers.
• Deliver web‑based and on‑site product demonstrations, proof‑of‑concepts and training sessions.
• Provide pre‑sales technical support and on‑site assistance during customer evaluations.
• Prepare Bills of Materials, RFP/RFQ responses and technical compliance analyses.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, strategic partners and system integrators.
• Participate in Veeam marketing events and contribute to joint meetings with stakeholders.
• Identify and qualify business opportunities independently.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Arabic.
• Comfortable presenting to C‑level executives and large groups, both remotely and in‑person.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % of the time.
• Self‑starter with the ability to quickly learn new technologies.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with hypervisors and cloud environments (VMware, Nutanix AHV, Red Hat, Microsoft virtualization).
• Knowledge of public cloud platforms Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes platforms (advantage).
• Understanding of enterprise databases such as Oracle, SQL, DB2 and SAP (advantage).
• Awareness of data‑privacy and security standards (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, NIST 800‑53, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI‑DSS).
• VMCE certification is beneficial; VMCA can be obtained after hire.
