Small Gas Turbine Commissioning Engineer – Seasonal Contract

About the role

You will deliver installation, commissioning, service, preventive and corrective maintenance, and modification activities for Siemens Energy gas turbines at power generation and oil & gas facilities across onshore and offshore sites.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex field service tasks on industrial gas turbines, including overhauls, new installations, commissioning and advanced troubleshooting.
• Execute repairs, modifications and maintenance in line with Siemens Energy procedures and quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports and recommendations for installations, inspections and failure analyses.
• Support outage planning, lead execution of planned outages and supervise site activities.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis, ensure QEHS compliance and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7‑9 years of experience as a Controls Lead Engineer, preferably on SGT gas turbines.
• Proven ability to lead onsite teams, coordinate contractors and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Willingness to travel on short notice for onshore and offshore assignments.

Required skills

• Control system platforms: PCS7, CLogix, MKII, S7.
• Allen‑Bradley FT100/FT125 (advantageous).
• Commissioning, pre‑commissioning, overhauls, troubleshooting and breakdown response for small gas turbines.
