SOC Analyst L2

About the role

A Security Operations Center (SOC) team is looking for an experienced Cyber Security Operations Analyst at Level 2. The role leads Level 2 investigations, acts as the main point of contact for clients and runs incident response and support sessions. It calls for a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, strong problem-solving skills and good teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Level 2 investigations, analyse and respond to security incidents and keep detailed records
• Act as the primary client contact, building and maintaining client relationships
• Run troubleshooting sessions with clients to resolve complex security issues
• Create, document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Fine-tune security tools, create use cases and proactively hunt for threats
• Distribute threat intelligence advisories to stakeholders
• Monitor SIEM system health and performance
• Prepare monthly, weekly and incident reports with analysis and recommendations
• Carry out SOC maturity and gap analyses and improve SOC capabilities
• Train and mentor new joiners and junior analysts

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in a SOC or similar cybersecurity role
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threat landscapes and incident response
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; able to work under pressure
• Certifications such as BTL2, CySA+, CEH, SC-200, ECIR or eCTHP are preferred
