Social Media Specialist

About the role

The company is looking for a commercially aware, trend-savvy and performance-driven Social Media Specialist to grow its presence across digital platforms. The role goes beyond publishing and community management: it combines daily execution with instinctive platform thinking to optimise publishing patterns, improve engagement and support audience growth, using data, observation, experimentation and platform knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day publishing on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, X and other relevant platforms, keeping content calendars up to date and adapting content to each platform's best practices.
• Optimise captions, hashtags, metadata and thumbnails; benchmark competitors and leading regional/global accounts.
• Monitor comments, messages, mentions and audience sentiment, and escalate sensitive issues or reputational risks.
• Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports tracking reach, engagement, follower growth, retention, shares, clicks and response time, and recommend practical actions.
• Work with Content, Design, Video, Marketing and Commercial teams on campaign ideas, seasonal moments and special launches.

Required profile

• 2-5+ years of experience in social media management, growth or digital content roles.
• Proven ability to grow engagement or audience performance on brand accounts.
• Strong written communication in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
• Highly organised, with strong ownership, fast execution and commercial awareness.

Required skills

• Understanding of the algorithms and content behaviour of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook and X.
• Experience with CMS systems, scheduling, analytics and reporting tools.
• Preferred: experience in marketplace, classifieds, lifestyle, media or platform businesses, short-form content planning, basic design or editing, and familiarity with paid social boosting.
