Solutions Engineer

About the role

As a Solutions Engineer at Cisco, you will partner with the Service Provider Sales team to understand the needs of strategic Service Provider accounts in Qatar, demonstrate Cisco solutions, and design tailored, AI‑driven network architectures that enable digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead for the account, building trusted advisor relationships with senior IT and business leaders.
• Own end‑to‑end technology vision across Service Provider networks, Data Center, Cloud, Automation, Cybersecurity and AI‑driven operations.
• Lead design of large‑scale, AI‑ready Data Center and Enterprise Networking architectures aligned with autonomous networking models.
• Drive AI‑driven network transformation, applying AI/ML and LLM models to assurance, planning, optimization and closed‑loop decision making.
• Develop and present high‑impact technical proposals, proofs of concept, pilots and solution validations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of presales, consultative or solution architect experience with a proven track record in routing, switching, data center and cloud solutions.
• Strong ability to simplify complex technical concepts for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Excellent executive‑level communication and consultative selling skills.
• Experience engaging directly with customers, understanding financial pain points and aligning solutions to business outcomes.

Required skills

• Enterprise networking (Cisco routing, switching, wireless, SD‑WAN, SASE).
• Data Center architecture (Cisco ACI, compute, storage, hyper‑converged, cloud networking).
• AI/ML, LLM and Agentic AI for network operations, assurance and automation.
• Automation platforms: DNA Center, Nexus Dashboard, Cisco Intersight, Cisco Crosswork Automation.
• Service Provider network design (access, transport, SR‑MPLS, SRv6, 5G Core).
