Telecommunication Service / Commissioning Engineer

About the role

Join the Projects division of Semco Maritime as a Telecommunication Service / Commissioning Engineer, delivering telecom solutions for complex offshore and onshore oil & gas facilities across the Middle East and internationally. You will work on large‑scale FEED and EPIC projects, ensuring safe, reliable and high‑quality telecom systems from engineering through handover.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate, install, test, commission and hand over telecommunication systems, including FAT, SAT and installation checks.
• Support lead commissioning engineers and project managers in daily execution and review/approve drawings, documentation and contractor deliverables.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental standards, participating in HAZID and SIMOPS risk management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering with 12–15 years of telecom commissioning experience, including 8–10 years in offshore oil & gas.
• Proven track record on FEED and EPIC projects (greenfield and brownfield) and strong knowledge of industry standards and HSE requirements.

Required skills

• CCTV, UHF/VHF radios, PA/GA, PABX, IP telephony, telemetry, AIS, ACS, LAN/WAN, fiber optic structured cabling, TETRA radio systems, network management systems.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Project, Visio and AutoCAD.
